TDSB Work Connections Job Fair
The Work Connections Job Fair is a yearly event for graduating grade 12 students who are seeking full-time employment or 18-year old students who need assistance finding full-time employment. Participants have a chance to meet up to 50 employers offering 400 or more positions for full-time work. In 2010 over 1200 students attended.
The Work Connections Job Fair provides students an opportunity to:
- Be coached in the Job Search process (i.e., resume writing, interview skills, appropriate dress)
- Meet representatives from their local Youth Employment Centre (YEC)
- Do on the spot interviews
- Apply for Jobs On Line
- Attend workshops on apprenticeships, entrepreneurship and a variety of programs designed for youth seeking full-time employment
